Why you don’t need to have public open for inspections to successfully sell your home
If you don’t want crowds trekking through your house, you can sell your home successfully without public open for inspections!
For those who like to protect their privacy, we arrange inspections by appointment—but only with buyers who really mean business. Beforehand, we talk in detail with those who show interest, to make sure your home matches their needs. When they know what they want, have finance sorted, and are ready to decide, you’d gladly have them look through your home.
For buyers like that we arrange an “invitation only” inspection on a day and time we’ve arranged with you. And they like it too, free of crowds and getting full attention from the salesperson.
To fit in with your life, we usually arrange a set time slot (45 min. – 1 hr.) on a Saturday and another one during the week, for the genuine buyers to conduct their inspection. Normally we arrange for more than one buyer to come through at the same time. Only when it’s absolutely necessary would we ask you for an inspection outside those scheduled time slots. That protects your privacy while giving genuine buyers ample opportunity to see your home.
It’s true that public open for inspections give estate agents the chance to meet new potential vendors—people in the area who would be attracted to the inspection as an opportunity to compare the features of their home with yours. And if you're quite happy with such opens, we can easily arrange them.
But what’s best for you is what we want. There’s no need to put up with public OFIs for our benefit. If you prefer private inspections – and so do the serious buyers – then that’s definitely the best option.
